….. the old Banyan tree stands still for who knows how many years,
when my maa (mother) was young - it was still like this.
the curved road along it has changed and so have the people passing by,
new houses are built … new vegetation has grown around.
But the Banyan tree has seen it all … the good and the bad !!

here in bangalore, we have a huge banyan tree which is more than 500 years old.

Ya, one which generally located near elementary school ground of villages.. kids play on it like monkeys.. that was fun

I remember seeing a banyan tree in kolkata in some park its supposedly the oldest one and its massive and huge.. not sure what park it is but it was definitely in kolkata …
